Parking Passes

Parking Passes will be available beginning in mid-July! Any Junior or Senior driving to school will need to obtain an RCHS parking pass. Please complete the RCHS Student Parking Pass Application and return it to the main office. Forms can be printed and submitted in person or completed using DocHub and emailed to Ms. Emrey or Ms. Hamilton.  A fee of $20 is due when you pick up your pass. Freshmen and Sophomores are not eligible for parking privileges without approval from an administrator.

RCPS Summer Food Service Program

School is out, summer meals are in! Rockbridge County Public Schools is participating in the Summer Food Service Program. Meals will be provided to all children without charge and are the same for all children regardless of race, color, national origin, sex (including gender identity and sexual orientation), disability or age, and there will be no discrimination in the course of the meal service.

Resources

Stakeholders were invited to become part of the collaborative effort to develop the comprehensive plan. A committee was formed to evaluate and prioritize the data from the planning survey that was gathered in the fall of 2022. Stakeholders — including parents, community members, students, teachers, and local business leaders and partners, as well as school and division level administrators — worked for months using the survey data to not only envision a future for RCPS, but also to develop a road map to take us there.

School attendance is critical for academic achievement and the preparation of students for the world of work. Each parent/guardian, having charge of a student within the compulsory attendance age, shall be responsible for the student's regular and punctual attendance at school as required by Virginia law.

Literacy means that someone can read and write.  Language development is the ability to understand and use spoken language.  The goal of reading is to be able to understand (comprehend) what you read.
